The Legendary Zenith Calibre 4030
While the movement is built on the famous Zenith El Primero architecture, Rolex heavily re-engineered it to meet their strict standards. Rolex made over 200 modifications, including:
• Reduced Frequency: Lowered the El Primero’s rapid 10 beats per second (36,000 vph) down to a more conventional 8 beats per second (28,800 vph) to extend service intervals and reduce wear.
• Enhanced Precision: Removed the date function and added a free-sprung balance wheel with a Breguet overcoil for superior shock and positional resistance.
