This timepiece is the third release from MB&F’s M.A.D.Editions MAD1 project, and comes in an attractive green colour form with an Irish clover on the crown.

In order to create a more accessible range of timepieces, MB&F spun off a separate brand called “M.A.D. Editions” that produces equally fun but far more affordable timepieces for enthusiasts. These MAD watches were released in the form of a random draw, and sold out immediately upon release.

There are levels it comes to a watch’s eye-catching ability, but this watch is off the scale. The battle-axe shaped rotor spins around rapidly with every movement of the wrist, making for a highly engaging viewing experience.

It may seem confusing, but it’s actually quite easy to read the time on this one. Just look at the rotating discs between the lugs at 6 o’clock. In practice, the top of your wrist spends most of its time angled away from your eyes, so having the time visible on the side of the watch at the 6 o’clock position is in many ways a more functional position as you will seldom have to rotate your wrist to view the time.

The watch is in overall very good condition, with just light wear visible on the case and clasp.
